Free standing metal cut folk art. by Haitian artist Javier Louis-Juste. Fully Signed. 10" wide, 8" tall, 1" deep (feet on either side). Features three Haitian folklore figures. The Louis-juste brothers Seresier, Javier, and Joseph (1940-1989),- were born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. They learned the art form of "fer découpé" from the originator of Haitian metal arts, Georges Liautaud, in the 60s and were instrumental in passing it on to the next generation of Croix-des-Bouquets metal artists.
